tell me so

The last time you smiled,

well it's been quite a while,
and you're not sure what you smiled for
and the first time you lied,
well I felt like I died,
now it just feels like every other night.

So, I'd say today's weather is quintessentially British!

This morning, as I walked in to town, I felt myself burning up.
As I wandered around some shops, I could see it clouding over.
Then, when I eventually headed home, it started to pour with rain.
Now I'm back and the sun is out again!

I needed to cheer myself up today, so saving was put temporarily on hold.
Luckily, there's a few mid season sales so I managed to buy some underwear and shoes for less than £20!
There was plenty more I wanted, but it seemed everything I picked up was a size too big or a size too small.
I really wanted to eat Thai noodles for lunch and decided I could face going in alone...
only to find out, they close on Mondays!
So, I bought a snack pack of sushi from Marks and Spencers.
I have to say, surprisingly it wasn't as nice as sushi from Tesco or Sainsburys!
Still, it was good and I felt a little better after eating it.

Now, I have nothing particular to do for the remainder of my time off.
I'm getting pretty tired of this lack of activity.
The only excitement in my life is in my dreams...
it's about time reality improved before I decide not to bother waking up again.

On a much lighter note, today I had a new arrival to my Japanese toy collection.

A yurakoro, or manekineko.
He mews, chimes and speaks Japanese!
